Mobilize AZ launched in 2018 at the height of the opioid epidemic and expanded its focus to tackle the health challenges impacting Arizonans.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The BCBSAZ Foundation for Community &amp; Health Advancement opened its first 2023 discretionary&nbsp;<a href="https://www.azbluefoundation.org/grants/overview" target="_blank">grant opportunity</a>&nbsp;for Arizona-based non-profit organizations and academic institutions. Applications are now being accepted for projects addressing one of the Foundation&rsquo;s four health focus areas:&nbsp;&nbsp; 

<a href="https://www.azbluefoundation.org/focus-areas/chronic-conditions" target="_blank">Chronic health conditions</a>&nbsp;&mdash; working to reduce the impact of chronic health issues by expanding access to screenings, medication and medical care, unmet social needs, and lifestyle management&nbsp; 

<a href="https://www.azbluefoundation.org/focus-areas/health-equity" target="_blank">Health equity</a>&nbsp;&mdash; addressing the social drivers of health to increase health equity and amplify every Arizonan&rsquo;s chance of well-being&nbsp; 

<a href="https://www.azbluefoundation.org/focus-areas/mental-health-2" target="_blank">Mental health</a>&nbsp;&mdash; expanding statewide resources, reducing stigma about mental health, and connecting people to care that promotes positive mental health and saves lives&nbsp; 

<a href="https://www.azbluefoundation.org/focus-areas/substance-use-disorder" target="_blank">Substance use disorder</a>&nbsp;&mdash; investing in prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery to reduce overdose-related deaths
