 <li>Mild cramping, especially if you are breastfeeding your baby. It will take a few weeks for your abdomen to heal completely. </li>
 <li>Pain and soreness in the incision area. Your doctor can give you medication that can help relieve the pain. </li>
 <li>Bleeding or discharge for about four to six weeks. </li>
</ul>
If you develop a fever or if the pain gets worse, call your doctor. These symptoms could be signs of an infection.
Remember, you are not only on the mend from labor and delivery&mdash;you are also recovering from a major operation.
