New to Blue? A 4-Step Member Guide
Welcome to AZ Blue!
If you’re new, now’s a great time to log into your portal, find doctors, schedule appointments, and learn how your plan works. We’re here to help you get started.
Create your member portal account
Set up your account using your Member ID number. Most members can also register using their Social Security number if they don’t have their Member ID handy. Once registered, you can sign in anytime. New members get a quick tour on their first login!
AZ Blue Health Choice Medicaid members can register or sign in here with their Member ID.
Easy ways to access your benefits
You’ll need your AZ Blue member ID whenever you get care. You can show it in three ways:
- Digital ID card
Log in to your account to:
- Email your ID card to your provider
- Save a screenshot
- Add it to your Apple or Android Wallet
- Print a copy at home
- Physical ID card
Use your member ID card at appointments. Renewing members can use last year’s card until the new one arrives.
- Member ID number
Providers can verify your coverage using your full name, Member ID number, and birthdate.
Know what your plan covers
Head to your portal to understand your benefits and costs:
Under your My Benefits tab:
- Member Guide – Overview of how to use your plan
- Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) – What’s covered and what you pay
- Benefit Book – Detailed plan information
Under Manage My Plan:
- Deductibles & Out-of-Pocket – Track your deductible and out-of-pocket maximum
- Review Claims – View claim details, status, and what you may owe.
Under Find Care:
- Start a Telehealth visit – Virtual Urgent care is available 24/7 for most members.
- Price a Drug – See medication costs based on your deductible
- Find A Doctor – Choosing in-network doctors keeps your costs lower
Don’t pay more than you should – always search for doctors and facilities that are in-network. AZ Blue negotiates lower rates with in-network providers to protect you from paying higher medical bills. Check that all your healthcare providers and facilities are in your plan’s network before you go.
