Virtual and In-Person Parenting Programs Made Possible by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice

Parenting is rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming. A recent Pew Research Center survey found that 62% of parents nationwide say raising children is harder than they expected. That’s why Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice is teaming up with Arizona PBS to bring the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) to families in Pinal County this fall. Backed by a $25,000 contribution, the program will give parents simple, proven strategies to manage stress, strengthen family bonds, and support children’s mental health.

What is Triple P?

The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is an evidence-based initiative that gives parents practical strategies to:

  • Encourage healthy behaviors in children
  • - Strengthen family relationships
  • - Support emotional well-being

The program is flexible and designed to help families with children of all ages.

Why Pinal County?

Pinal County is one of Arizona’s fastest-growing regions, and with that growth comes a greater need for family support. Located between Phoenix and Tucson, Pinal County include cities and towns like Casa Grande, Maricopa, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, and Florence, each home to thousands of families seeking support and resources. Many of these families rely on AHCCCS (Arizona’s Medicaid program), which makes access to parenting and mental health resources a key part of community well‑being.

“We’re dedicated to supporting families across our state. That means making sure moms, babies, and parents have the care and resources they need to thrive,” said Dr. Heather Carter, CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice.

How to Enroll

If you live in Pinal County and are:
