How to get the most out of your plan.

Hold on to your BCBSAZ member ID card

After you enroll in a plan, you will receive your ID card in the mail. It contains important plan details and shows who to call if you have questions. You can access a digital copy of your ID card anytime on the MyBlue AZSM mobile app. Keep your card handy. You’ll need it when you get care. Do not let others use it. If you lose your card, you’re still covered. You can order a new card by calling us or by accessing the MyBlue AZ mobile app.

You will need your BCBSAZ ID card when you:

  • Visit a doctor or other healthcare professional
  • Go to a drugstore for the first time to get the medication your doctor prescribes for you
  • Visit an urgent care center
  • Go to the hospital or ER
  • Call BCBSAZ customer service
  • Sign up for the MyBlue member portal and MyBlue AZ mobile app

Sign up for your MyBlue account

MyBlue is your personalized online member account. You can review your plan coverage, get estimates for healthcare costs, and check on the status of your claims. You can also:

  • Explore your Summary of Benefits and coverage details
  • Review who is covered under your plan
  • Find and compare doctors or facilities
  • Estimate the cost of procedures and prescriptions
  • Check the status of a claim
  • View and download your ID card

Download the MyBlue AZ app

Our MyBlue AZ app1 makes it easy to manage your health plan on the go. You’ll get 24/7 access to tools, resources, and services. You can:

  • Access your digital member ID card
  • Search for doctors, hospitals, and labs
  • View your claims, deductibles, and out-of-pocket balances
  • Pay your monthly premium (if it’s not deducted from your paycheck)
  • Explore care options and estimate costs

Find healthcare providers in your plan’s network

The “Find a Doctor” tool lists doctors, other healthcare professionals, hospitals, and facilities that are part of our network. To access it, log in to your MyBlue account and click “Find a Doctor.” You will be able to search for a provider in your plan’s network by name, type (area of specialization), or distance from your location.

It’s always good to find out if providers are in your plan’s network before you see them. Providers who are not in your plan’s network may not be covered by your plan. That means you’ll be responsible for paying the bill in full.

You can also call the number on the back of your member ID card to see if a provider you’re planning to see is in your network. Plus, you can look up your primary care provider, or check the status of a specialist referral.

Complete your annual wellness visit with your primary care provider

Keeping up with wellness visits and checkups is an essential part of staying healthy.

A wellness visit may include:

  • A physical exam
  • Measuring of your vitals (such as body temperature, blood pressure, and pulse)
  • Determining your BMI (body mass index)
  • Reviewing your personal and family medical histories
  • Recommended screenings
  • Administering any necessary shots or immunizations
  • Creating a plan to help you improve and maintain your health

Check out the online bill payment options

If your monthly premium is not already deducted from your paycheck, you have two options for online billing:

Sign up for online billing on MyBlue. You’ll receive an email letting you know when your bill is ready. Then, simply log in to MyBlue to view your statement. You’ll have the option to pay your bill online, letting you take care of everything in one convenient place.

Sign up for Autopay. Save yourself some hassle—and a stamp!—when you pay your premium with Autopay. There’s no check to write, and nothing to mail (or forget to mail). Instead, your premium will be automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account. Simply complete and sign the authorization form. Then send it our way however you want (email, mail, or fax). We’ll handle the rest.

To get started:

    1. Log in to your MyBlueSM member account.
    2. Select Pay My Bill, which will take you to the Bill Pay page.
    3. Click Set Up Autopay.
    4. Choose Monthly Sure Pay Electronic Bank Draft.
    5. Follow the instructions to complete your Autopay setup.

*Your wireless plan’s phone and data rates may apply.

**You will need your subscriber ID and date of birth to create an account.
