Health Choice and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Reveal New Dual Brand
PHOENIX – Nov. 3, 2020 – Following Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of Arizona’s (BCBSAZ) acquisition of Health Choice, Health Choice Arizona members will see the new dual brand on member materials and communications, the website, and more. Member benefits will remain the same, and members can continue to use their current member ID card.
In addition to the BCBSAZ individual, employer, and Medicare plans, BCBSAZ and Health Choice Arizona offer health coverage and related services to Arizonans eligible for Medicaid and those who are dual-eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. This includes the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Complete Care plan, the AHCCCS Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) plan, and the “Generations” Medicare health plan.
“We want to ensure members know that when they see the new dual brand they will continue to receive the trust and respect that our members and network have come to know with Health Choice Arizona, and the reputation and support of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona,” said Shawn Nau, Chief Executive Officer of Health Choice.
In addition to the dual brand, the Health Choice Arizona plan Health Choice Generations (a dual special needs plan), will become Health Choice Pathway effective, Jan. 1, 2021. None of these changes impact member benefits, and members can continue to use their current member ID card.
