New Clinics to Expand Primary Care in Rural Arizona
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice partners with Corner Health to bring ten new clinics to rural areas
As part of its ongoing commitment to rural health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice has partnered with Corner Health to support ten new nurse practitioner-led clinics across underserved communities of Arizona.
These clinics bring compassionate, community-based care closer to where people live. The first clinic opened in Globe, offering residents a new local option for primary care. Additional sites are planned in Yavapai, Mohave, and Maricopa counties, supported by a $100,000 donation from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice.
“These clinics are about caring for our communities,” said Dr. Heather Carter, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice CEO. “Families in rural areas should not face long drives or long waits. We are working to make care easier to reach and closer to where people live.”
Among the providers at the Globe clinic are Susan Robertson and Ashley Bravo, who describe the new site as a long-held dream to offer trust-based, holistic care rooted in small-town values.
“Opening this clinic in Globe is about building genuine, trusting relationships with our community and providing holistic care, deeply rooted in compassion and with an understanding of small-town life. We are truly honored to serve the families here.”
By expanding access to prevention-focused care, these clinics will help families stay healthier, reduce avoidable ER visits, and make primary care more accessible in the communities that need it most.
