Relias Employment ServicesAHCCCS Employment Workforce Competencies for Dedicated Vocational/Employment Staff and other Clinical Direct Services Staff (Competency Evaluation Tool)

To ensure compliance with
ACOM Policy 447, Health Home providers must complete required staff competency evaluations and implement oversight processes to ensure evaluations are completed, documented, and maintained in accordance with policy requirements.

AHCCCS Health Plans require Health Home providers to evaluate and attest to staff competency in the following areas:

  • Member Engagement

  • Accurate billing of Employment Services

  • Arizona Disability Benefits 101 (AZ DB101)

  • The Rehabilitation Services Administration/Vocational Rehabilitation (RSA/VR) Program

Health Home providers must complete the
Relias Employment Services Competency Evaluation Tool for all applicable staff in accordance with policy requirements.

Purpose

The purpose of the Relias Employment Services Competency Evaluation Tool is to:

  • Ensure staff understand the importance of employment as a component of a member's recovery, self-sufficiency, and community integration.

  • Educate new and existing staff on available employment services and resources.

  • Verify staff knowledge and competency related to employment supports, benefits counseling resources, vocational rehabilitation services, and member engagement strategies.

  • Promote consistent delivery of employment-related services across Health Home providers.

  • Support provider compliance with ACOM 447 requirements regarding staff training and competency validation.
