Dental Health Services
Children should have a dental check-up every six months. You do not need a referral from your child’s doctor to see a general dentist or pediatric dentists. Children as young as one year old should have a dental check-up.
To find a dentist, please see the Provider Directory. You can also call Member Services, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 480-968-6866 (Maricopa County) or 1-800-322-8670. We will help you find a dentist.
Dental services for members ages 21 and older are limited to emergency dental services to relieve severe pain and/or infection. Members 21 years of age and older can receive emergency dental services of up to $1,000 for each 12-month period beginning October 1st through September 30th.
We also cover limited dental services as needed for members who are about to receive an AHCCCS-covered organ transplant and for members getting ready for radiation treatment for certain cancers (cancer of the jaw, neck, or head).
